2026 Fort Leonard Wood Visit
Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (6:45 AM - 6:45 PM) (CDT)
Description
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating a visit to Fort Leonard Wood to help area employers better understand the workforce pipeline connected to the installation and the opportunities it creates for local businesses.
Fort Leonard Wood is home to thousands of service members, many of whom are preparing to transition from military service into civilian careers. Through programs such as the Transition Assistance Program and Military Career Skills Program, employers have an opportunity to connect with skilled, motivated individuals who bring valuable experience, training and leadership to the workforce.
This visit will give Chamber members a firsthand opportunity to learn more about the programs, resources and partnerships supporting transitioning service members. Participants will gain a better understanding of how employers can engage with this talent pipeline, explore potential workforce solutions and build stronger connections between Springfield-area businesses and Fort Leonard Wood.
Members who are actively hiring, planning for future workforce needs or interested in strengthening their talent recruitment strategy are encouraged to participate.
