Entrust Property Solutions Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary
Entrust Property Solutions celebrated 10 years in business this month, marking a decade of growth from humble beginnings in Springfield.
The Entrust team celebrated the milestone last week at its annual Birthday Bash, which has become one of the company's favorite team traditions over the years. This year's celebration was particularly meaningful as the team looked back at the past decade, recognized several employees celebrating significant anniversaries of their own, and celebrated the people who have helped shape Entrust along the way.
Entrust started in Springfield with just one property and a handful of employees in July 2016 and now manages roughly $250 million in assets across multiple states with a team of just under 50 employees. While Entrust's roots are in multifamily housing, the company has managed a variety of asset classes, including single-family rental housing, HOAs, office, retail and storage.
Founder Brent T. Brown said the company has seen a lot over the years.
"Things are always changing, from overall market conditions to resident expectations," Brown said.
Entrust started from meager beginnings in a small office on N. National Avenue.
"We squeezed four people into one little space on the back side of an old building," Brown said.
Brown said the company was always about doing business the right way and creating a culture where people wanted to work.
Amanda Hall, a property manager in the early days of the company, is now a shareholder and was recently promoted to Chief Executive Officer.
"I knew going to work for a startup was a risk, and that it wasn't going to be easy," Hall said. "But with the right team, I knew it could be done, and we believed in what we were building. Over the past 10 years, we've truly built our portfolio from the ground up through hard work and dedication."
Hall said the company's growth has been a team effort.
"We've had so many great people contribute to Entrust over the years, and each of them has been a part of our story. I'm incredibly proud of our team and what we've accomplished together."
Entrust doesn't own property but rather provides third-party property management services for owners and developers, including property operations, leasing, resident relations, rent collection, maintenance, repairs and accounting.
"Our owners trust us with incredibly important investments, and our residents trust us with the place they call home," Hall said. "We take both of those responsibilities seriously."
While the world has changed a lot over the past 10 years, the company's identity hasn't.
"It's all in the name, it's all about trust and the best is yet to come," Brown said.
