JMARK to Host 2nd Annual BBQ for Bravery Honoring Military, Veterans and First Responders

Free admission for those who serve; proceeds benefit The Warrior's Journey

JMARK, a Springfield-based managed IT services provider, will host its 2nd Annual BBQ for Bravery on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Wire Road Brewing Company in Battlefield, Missouri. The community event celebrates active-duty military members, veterans, and first responders while raising funds for The Warrior's Journey, a nonprofit providing peer-to-peer support, suicide intervention, and resiliency resources to service members and their families.

The evening will feature pulled pork and shredded chicken plates served alongside BBQ beans and cheesy potatoes, with smoked hot dogs available for younger attendees. Food service runs from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. and will be accompanied by live music, craft beer, and a family-friendly outdoor setting on the brewery's green. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome.

Admission is free for veterans, active-duty military, and first responders, who will each receive a complimentary meal and two drink tickets in recognition of their service. Children 10 and under attend free, and general admission tickets are $12. One hundred percent of ticket proceeds benefit The Warrior's Journey, which has served thousands of warriors and their families through case management, crisis intervention, and ongoing care programs.

"BBQ for Bravery is our way of saying thank you to the men and women who serve our country and protect our communities, while also supporting an organization doing critical work for those same heroes when they need it most," said Tom Douglas, CEO of JMARK. "We invite the entire community to join us in celebrating their service."

Registration is required and is available online through June 3, 2026. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals interested in supporting the event.
